Да вот когда-то видел инфу...
Стало интересно и поиском нашел такую информацию:

The Nikon High Speed was introduced to the US at the 1971 Chicago Photo Expo.
At 7 frames per second, this was the first Nikon High Speed camera.
All later Nikon High Speeds used Pellicle mirrors, the only Nikon SLRs to do so. The 7 fps was followed in 1976 with a 9 fps Nikon F High Speed, in 1978 by the 10 fps Nikon F2 High Speed, and in 1996 by the 13.5 fps Nikon F3 High Speed.

И ответ от Canon:

Canon's 1972 High Speed F-1 for the 1972 Olympics was available only by special order to credentialed press photographers. It was the fastest SLR motor drive made to that time. Its fixed pellicle mirror allowed continuous viewing (without the typical SLR blackout when the mirror goes up), and higher motor speeds up to 9 frames per second. The 1972 9 fps F-1 High Speed is based on the mechanical shuttered F1. Production of the 9 fps was probably less than 100. In 1984 Canon introduced an even faster 14 fps F-1 High Speed with pellicle mirror, built on the electronic F-1 body.
