Major items include:
------------------
Canon 40D + Battery Grip BG-E2N
+
Canon 50mm f/1.4 USM - portrait, low-light
Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro + Canon EF-25 25mm Extension Tube - macro work
Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 USM IS - walk-around (default on camera)
Canon 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 USM IS - walk-around w/tele
Canon 70-200mm f/4L USM - wildlife, sport
+
Canon 580EX II Speedlight
+
UV/Polarized filters from Hoya and B+W only
+
Monfrotto monopod, ball-head and tripod.
I usually take with me:
----------------------
Canon 17-55 f/2.8 USM IS - default on camera
Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM - in case of macro opportunity
Canon 70-200mm f/4L - in case of tele opportunity
This is very economical set. Only one lens 17-55 is ~$1000. Everything else is ~$400-$500 each. All of the lens (except for 28-135mm) are near or exceeding L-quality in optics (NOT in build quality).
Sorry for English (no Russian keyboard at office).
Nikita.
